Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will be hosting “A Tribute to Elvis” concert by Jeff Krick on September 18 in the Forbes Road High School Auditorium. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. The food stand will open at 5 p.m., and the show will run from 7 to 9 p.m. A meet-and-greet time with Jeff will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Please call 717-987-3210 or 987-3783 for tickets.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be hosting a chicken barbecue on Sunday, September 19, beginning at 11 a.m.

Tim and Mamie Streightiff enjoyed a few days relaxing at Rehoboth Beach last week. Tim Streightiff visited with Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Jen Ramsey and Kenny and Kristi Watkins on Sunday.

Lydia Souders attended the Scottish Highland Games in Ligonier, Pa., on Saturday. Also at the games were Mike, Samantha and Charlie Hiles, Nin Hiles Jr., and Dick and Linda Clark. Later in the day, Lydia visited the United Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville to pay her respects to the heroes who died there nine years ago.

Roger and Pat Ramsey enjoyed the Nittany Antique Machinery Association Inc. tractor show over the weekend.

On Sunday, September 12, Pastor Denny and Patti Hunsinger held a dedication service for the new “Living Waters Christian Outreach”, formerly the Three Springs Assemblies of God Church. Approximately 185 people were present for the dedication.

Ruth Grissinger, Danny Shoop, Dodie Price and Steph Cochran spent a beautiful day at DelGrosso’s enjoying music by Sidewalk Prophets and Remedy Drive last Sunday.

John, Tammy, Clay, Jayla, Jenny and Cole Cantrell recently visited “Pops” Young of Greencastle, who is recuperating from a recent fall.

On Sunday evening, Kristy Thomas hosted a baptismal service at her pond on Maddensville Pike where quite a few people from different area churches were baptized by Pastor Ed Seeley of the Orbisonia Methodist Church and Pastor Denny Hunsinger of the Living Waters Christian Outreach in Three Springs. Music was provided by the Methodist Seeker’s Worship Team. A bonfire with marshmallows, coffee and hot chocolate followed the service.

Steve and Karen Grissinger visited with Mike, Patti and Kevin Pintozzi on Saturday evening.

Visiting recently with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Travis Madden, Kenny Waite, Travis and Tristen Hall, Ramon Martin, Brent and Joann Carlson, Donna Locke, and Tom and Mamie Streightiff,

The Clear Ridge ladies and gents will be having a festival on September 16 with dinners, ice cream and homemade pies.
