Maxine M. Kerlin
Maxine Martha Kerlin, 82, formerly of Knobsville, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center in Chambersburg.
She was born January 31, 1928, in Mount Union, the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Garman) Sheffield. She was married to the late Norman W. Kerlin on January 14, 1948.
She was a housewife and homemaker all her life. She is survived by one son, Norman “Bill” (husband of Dawn) Kerlin II, Fort Littleton, and three daughters” Leta (wife of Ralph) Sipes of Lemasters, Pa.; Mabel (wife of Kevin) Strait of McConnellsburg, and Anna (wife of Chris) Stains of Fort Littleton; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and two brothers: Derald Shef-field of Gilbertown, Ala., and Stanley (husband of Laverne) Sheffield of Shade Gap,.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anna Sheffield; her husband, Norman W. Kerlin; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Mc- Connellsburg. Interment was held at Knobsville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Christian Elliott officiated.
