Interstate 70 Restrictions Between Exits 149 And 156

Crystal Spring eastbound ramps closed

Prime contractor New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Inc. will reduce I-70 traffic to a single lane in each direction between the south Breezewood Exit (Exit 149) and the Townhill Exit (Exit 156) beginning on Tuesday, September 7.

Also during this time the eastbound on and off ramps of I-70 at the Crystal Springs Exit (Exit 151) will be closed. Traffic will need to use the south Breezewood Exit (Exit 149) or the Townhill Exit (Exit 156). This closure will be in effect for approximately 40 days.

This work is part of an overall $15 million contract to rehabilitate 15 miles of I-70 from the Bedford County line to the Amaranth Interchange in Union, Bethel, and Brush Creek townships, Fulton County. Also included in this contract is the minor rehabilitation work on 15 structures within the project limits.

Delays will be possible throughout the work zone. Motorists are advised to use caution.

All work on this project is anticipated to be completed by October 2011.
