Snair – DeShong United In Marriage
The bride was given n marriage by her parents, Cammy and Shawn DeShong of McConnellsburg. Parents of the groom are Ruth and Kenneth Snair of Orbisonia.
The outdoor ceremony was officiated by Rev. Paul Claycomg and his wife, Nancy, of Bedford. Eric Patterson of Power Company DJs from Waynesboro provided music for the ceremony and reception.
The flowers were supplied by Summer Thyme Floral of McConnellsburg and the three-tiered wedding cake was designed by Lisa Becker of Altoona. Photography for the ceremony and reception was by Lisa Clevenger of Lisa’s Photo Creations of Mc- Connellsburg. Videotography for the ceremony and reception was provided by Heath Taylor, friend of the groom.
The bride wore a white strapless, sweetheart taffeta pickup ballgown with beaded metallic lace detail and a chape length train. She carried a bouquet filled with calla lilies, dahlias and peones.
The groom wore a white tuxedo with an icecolored vest, tie and pocket square. The wedding party wore rose-petal pink and black attire.
Hilary DeShong, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Donahue, friend of the bride, and Mary Schoch, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Haven Gilliland, niece of the groom.
Keith Bowman, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Audy Snair, uncle of the groom, and Scott Jones, friend of the groom. Ringbearer was Ben Mc- Quade, cousin of the bride. Guestbook attendant was Cody Homistek, friend of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception indoors at Lake Raystown Resort Lodge and Conference Center. After the ceremony, the couple honeymooned in Las Vegas, Nev.
Pre-wedding festivities included a bachelor/bachelorette party at Baraefoot Bernies/Cancun Cantina in Hagerstown, provided by the bride’s parents. A rehearsal dinner was held at Gun Smoke Acres, Mount Union, provided by the groom’s parents.
Heather is a 2003 graduate of McConnellsburg High School and a 2008 graduate of Millersville University. She is employed as a learning support teacher with the Fannett-Metal School District.
Nathan is a 2003 graduate of Southern Huntingdon County School District and of Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center. He is employed as a HVAC technician with Goodco Mechanical Inc.
Currently the couple resides in Orbisonia.
