FCHS Museum Autumn Tea Sept. 18

Fulton County Historical Society will hold its annual Museum Autumn Tea on Saturday, September 18, at the Fulton House. The teas are becoming quite popular and each features entertainment, ranging from music to origami demonstrations. This tea will focus on local history.

John Mentzer, author of “Tonoloway: If Its Walls Could Talk” will give a short talk about the history of the Tonoloway church in Bethel Township, Fulton County, complete with a slide show. The church was used as a hospital during the Civil War and soldiers left their signatures on the walls. Mentzer has done extensive research tracing the history of many of the soldiers.
