Donnie Horne was one of thousands who attended the “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.

Gregg Locke of Atlanta, Ga., was home recently to visit with George Locke, Gordon and Donna Locke, and Irene Park.

Congratulations to George Locke and Heather (Hester) Smith, who exchanged vows in a private outdoor ceremony on Sunday, August 15, at the Immanuel Bible Church. In addition to Pastor Steve Heaster, approximately 30 family members and close friends witnessed the event. A celebration meal followed at the Sunny Ridge Restaurant in Shade Gap.

Betty Ramsey and Joe, Melanie, Cody and Dison Myers took in the Little League World Series Championship Games in Williamsport on Saturday.

Joe and Shirley Calagouri celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday afternoon at All About You Catering” in Lebanon. Buzz and Bea Covert and Joyce Strait attended the celebration.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff traveled to Appleford near Philadelphia this weekend to attend the marriage ceremony of Bradley and Susanna Watkin. Bradley is the son of J.R. and Kim Watkin. Chuck and Polly Streightiff of Huntingdon also attended the event.

Congratulations to Andy and Kara Park, who recently renewed their wedding vows and exchanged rings at the Bedford Springs Resort. Attending were Pastor Travis Mellott and wife Sherry; Kara’s parents, Rodney and Betsy O’Neal; Grandpap Kayedon and Gram Cleo O’Neal; Andy and Joni Park; Kelssey and Laetten Park; and Gary, Donna, Cassie and Caleigh Clark. The ceremony was a total surprise to Kara. The cake was made by Sue Fleming and her bouquet was made by Sherry Mellott.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be hosting a chicken barbecue on Sunday, September 19, beginning at 11 a.m.

Terri and Tammy Grissinger, Ruth Grissinger, Dodie Price, Adam, Amanda, Toryn, Cameron and Brayden Locke, and Gordon and Donna Locke once again enjoyed their annual vacation in the Outer Banks.

Buzz and Bea Covert and Tasha, Shaine and Miah Goshorn attended Kean Goshorn’s first football game on Sunday afternoon in Three Springs.

The Clear Ridge ladies and gents will have a yard sale with sandwiches, pie and soup on September 2 and 3. A festival will be held on September 16 with dinners, ice cream and homemade pies.
