Frontier Communications Appoints New General Manager For Southern PA Region

Frontier Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Albert H. Kramer as general manager of the company’s Southern PA region. This includes the Breezewood, Elizabethville, Leesport, Lewisberry, New Holland and Quarryville markets. Frontier Communications provides telephone, television and Internet services to customers in 27 states.

“We’re very pleased to appoint Bert Kramer to lead our Frontier team in our southern markets,” said Frank Joanlanne, vice president and general manager of Frontier’s Pennsylvania operations. “We have redefined the roles of our general managers and field operations to be more focused on our customers, community, employees and competition. The members of our management team live and work in the areas for which they are responsible, and they know, and are empowered to make, the decisions that will be in the best interests of their local customers and communities.”

Kramer has more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in the telecom industry. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of D&E Communications, where he had full profit and loss responsibility for all business segments and functions. He was also a member of the executive team responsible for D&E’s acquisition by Windstream in 2009.

Kramer’s telecommunications career started with D&E as controller, and he later assumed senior leadership positions as chief financialofficer and treasurer. After serving eleven years at D&E, Kramer joined Conestoga Enterprises as vice president of finance and administration before becoming president in 1998. When Conestoga was purchased by D&E in 2002, Kramer rejoined his former company as senior vice president of operations.

Kramer earned both his Bachelor of Arts and MBA degrees at Penn State University. He is a certified public accountant. Kramer serves on the board of National Penn Bancshares Inc. where he also sits on the Audit and Compensation committees. Additionally, he serves on the Berks County Workforce Investment Board and the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board. His professional affiliations also include: past board member of the US Telecom Association, the Pennsylvania Telephone Association, and the Berks Economic Partnership. He has been an assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 84 in Landisville, Pa., since 2000.

Kramer and his wife, Ann, reside in Lancaster with their three children: Jeff, Kelsey and Libby.
