Lydia Souders recently traveled to New York City with friend Laura Hanes to see the Broadway show, “Wicked,” which she gave an awesome rating.

Congratulations to Ronnie Horne on his two new grandsons born on August 18 and August 19. Philip and Brandy Horne are the proud parents of Asher Wayne born on Wednesday. Asher has a big brother, Brayden, at home. Patrick and Jamie Horne are the proud parents of Paxton Eli born early Thursday morning. The babies weighed in within an ounce of each other.

Brian and Micah Ramsey visited with Roger and Pat Ramsey on Sunday afternoon.

Tammy and Terri Grissinger attended Ag Progress Days on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Shawn and Cody Young on the birth of their daughter, Alle Rose, on Thursday. Alle has a big sister, Ella, at home waiting to share her toys.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff hosted a “celebration of life” cookout on Saturday afternoon at the Immanuel Bible Church pavilion for Kenny and Kristi Watkins and soon-to-be-baby Watkins. Tim Streightiff was home from Washington, D.C., for the celebration.

Open stage will be held at the Hustontown Firehall on Saturday, August 28, beginning at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Come out and share your talent.

Visiting recently with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Brent Carlson, Irene Park, Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Maddison Wible, Donnie and Panda Horne, and Norm and Janet Sipes.

Kevin and Louise Detwiler and family enjoyed a week of showing animals at the Fulton County Fair.

The Clear Ridge ladies and gents will be having a yard sale with sandwiches, pies and soup on September 2 and 3. A festival will be held on September 16 with dinners, ice cream and home-made pies.
