Needmore, 80

William D. Williams, 80, Needmore, died Friday, August 13, 2010, at J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon.

He was born August 5, 1930, in Seat Pleasant, Md., the son of the late George and Pansy (Darr) Williams. He was married to Audrey Jankiewicz Williams on March 21, 1995.

He was employed by the city of Baltimore as a police officer for 28 years. He enjoyed Woodworking, making christmas ornaments and spending time gardening. He also enjoyed spending time traveling with his wife, particularly to Gatlinburg, Tenn.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey E. Williams of Needmore; five stepchildren: John (husband of Diane) Manning of Dundalk, Md.; Michael (husband of Joanne)Manning of Baltimore, Md.; Joseph Manning of Lewis, Del.; Sharon Manning of Baltimore, Md.; Robert (husband of Karen) Manning of Glenn Burnie, Md.; two children: Linda (wife of John)Fair of Upper Cove, Md.; and William Williams Jr. of Newark, Del.; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Nancy (wife of George) Robertson of Senca, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pansy Williams; one stepson, Louis Manning; one granddaughter, Jackie Manning- Stabile; four brothers and one sister.
