W. James Gordon
W. James “Jim” Gordon, 63, Mercersburg, died Friday, August 13, 2010, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born January 13, 1947, in Waynesboro, he was a son of Rebecca E. Starr Gordon of Mercersburg and the late Roy Gordon Jr.
He was self-employed and had owned and operated The Leather Store of Chambersburg.
He was U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are a daughter, Sally Sellers and a son, Terry (husband of Michelle) Gordon, Clear Spring, Md.; two sisters: Teresa Gordon of St. Thomas, and Cindy Picking, Mercersburg; two brothers: Michael Gordon, Mercesburg, and William “Bill” Gordon of Burnt Cabins; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Gordon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, at Clayton Memorial Church of God. Revs. Karen Ford and Henry Barthalow will officiate. Burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
