Christine A. Geesaman
Christine A. “Crissy” Geesaman, 38, Chambersburg, died Friday, August, 13, 2010, at 10:35 p.m., from the result of a twovehicle accident on Route 850, Landisburg Road and Page Hill Road in Spring Township, Perry County, Pa.
She was born on November 28, 1971, at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Sands Township located in northern Michigan, the daughter of Dale C. and Lorna J. (Smith) Geesaman of Mc- Connellsburg and Loysville, PA, 17047.
While her father was in the Air Force, she moved around to many locations, including: Illinois, Idaho, New Jersey, Texas, northern Japan and Pennsylvania.
She graduated from High School at Misawa Air Base, Japan, with the Class of 1990. She was attending Wilson College in Chambersburg, working for a degree in elementary education.
She worked part time at Blockbuster Video, mostly the Chambersburg store, for over 12 years and also worked at various daycare centers and after-school programs.
She was very involved with Boy Scouts of America, including the Explorer Posts in northern Japan and Chambersburg. She was currently serving as a leader for Cub Scout Pack 135 at King Street Church in Chambersburg. She was also the archery director for the Frontier District Cub Day Camp at Letterkenny. She played soccer, basketball, was a good artist, photographer, loved working with crafts, and enjoyed dancing. She also was a soccer official for various youth soccer leagues and helped to coach the youth soccer at the Robert E. Stum Soccer Complex in Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, David A. Geesaman, his wife Jennifer; their children: Brandon, Jacob and Kylee Geesaman of Chambersburg; maternal grandparents: Ralph and Mary Smith of St. Thomas; numerous aunts and uncles and cousins, especially Rosie and Phil Wheeles and their children: Andrew, Sadie and Sammi of Fayetteville. She will also be missed by her longtime friend, Christine Hospodar of Chambersburg, who was like a sister to her.
An open memorial service will be held August 20, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Spirit of Christ Community Church, 1985 Wenger Lane, Chambersburg.
