Police: Woman Left Kids In Car Outside Pa. Casino
BENSALEM, Pa. (AP) – Police say a woman is facing child endangerment charges left her two children in the car for hours outside a suburban Philadelphia casino.
Investigators say it’s the third time this summer they have charged a parent for leaving a child inside a car at Parx Casino in Bensalem.
Police say the latest incident happened on Aug. 1.
They allege that 35-yearold Sharon Balek left her 15- year-old and 8-year-old daughters in the car for nearly six hours while she played slots.
Authorities say Balek told them she simply lost track of time. It wasn’t known if Balek had an attorney and she could not immediately be reached for comment.
