Grace I. Heefner

Grace I. Heefner, 89, Hustontown, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.

She was born in Laidig, Pa., on October 30, 1920, the daughter of the late Harry E. and Blanche C. (Schooley) Shotts. She was the widow of Willis K. Heefner, who passed away on October 11, 2008, and they were married on October 17, 1945.

She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church as well as its ladies aide in Harrisonville, member of Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxillary, was a cafeteria cook at the Forbes Road High School in Waterfall, and a homemaker. She also loved quilting and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by daughters: Linda D. (wife of David) Cook of Three Springs; Esta M. Colledge (companion of Chuck Hoover) of New Enterprise; brother Ralph Shotts of McConnellsburg; grandchildren: Doug Shotts, Tammy Cook, Brian Shotts, Tracy Cook, Carrie DeShong, Krista Colledge and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ray N. Shotts, and brothers: George, Paul, Sr. and Charles Shotts.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 1, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville. Pastor Bill Kuhn and Pastor Deborah Strait officiated. Interment was at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., Harrisonville, was in charge of arrangements.
