’30 Recent births: a son, Allen Lindbergh, to Mr.

and Mrs. Daniel B. Hewett of near Big Cove Tannery on July 26; a daughter, Martha Cleo, to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Keyser of Ayr Township on July 26; a son, Marvin Eugene, to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harr of near Big Cove Tannery on July 23; twin sons to Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Raffensperger of Ayr Township on July 28. Mrs. Raffensperger is the manager of the Hershey Creamery Company in McConnellsburg.

Deaths: William Hart Peck of Gem; Frank Deshong of near Culbertson, Franklin County.

The Susquehanna Pipeline Co. has filed in the prothonotary’s office in Mc- Connellsburg 31 agreements for the purchase of rights-ofway across Fulton County. There are 32 owners along the proposed route, but one refused to sell. One farm near McConnellsburg was surveyed minutely and rumor has it that this farm may be purchased for the location of a pumping station.

The Young People’s Rally planned at Creekside Park has been postponed on account of the continued drought. All gatherings in woods at this time are fire hazards and extremely dangerous.

Russell Locke and Maude Rankin were wed July 5.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Runyan and little daughter Mary Virginia moved last week into their new home on West Main Street.
