Gary “Mousy” Mills Sr.
Gary Lee Mills Sr., 59, of Corinth, Ky., formerly of Green Lane, Bedford, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, in Williamstown, Ky.
Born June 18, 1951, in Bedford County, he was a son of the late Walter Calvin “Bill’’ and Irene Beagle Mills.
He was married to the fomer Toni Fay Purvis Mills. She survives along with the following family: second wife Rosalie and children: Neil, married to Tammy, Bedford; Sherri, married to Aric, Everett; Gary L. Jr., married to Becky, Alum Bank; Lesley, fiance of Curt, Adams Run Road, New Paris; first wife Marietta and children: Bruce, Bedford; Steve, Everett; Bobbie Jo, Breezewood; stepchildren: Bill Lewis, Williamstown; Shelly Fogel, Independence, Ky.; brothers and sisters: Larry, married to Christine, Breezewood; Lois Ann, married to Melvin, Warfordsburg; Barbara and companion Don, Cleveland, Ohio; George, married to Wendy, Everett; 13 grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mills was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie; and sisters Connie Jean and Shirley Ann.
Mr. Mills was a truck driver for 33 years, starting at Tri County Bulk Milk Haulers in 1976. The last 18 years, he was a car hauler, mostly recently employed by Cassens Transport, Georgetown, Ky. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local #651.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time on Shawnee Lake in his boat. He most importantly loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them as much as he could on his visits to Pennsylvania.
Funeral servcies were held Friday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Akers Funeral Home, Everett, with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating. Burial was made in Pleasant Union Cemetery.
