Patients At VA Center In Pa. Moved After A/C Fails
LEBANON, Pa. (AP) – Patients from a veterans’ hospital in central Pennsylvania have been transferred to other hospitals because the air conditioning is not working.
About 20 patients in the intensive care unit of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon were moved on Wednesday night. Another 75 patients have been transferred to other hospitals on Thursday.
An official from the VA said a cooling line break caused the air conditioning to stop working at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
It’s unclear when the air conditioning will be fixed. Backup generators are being brought in for the staff working in the building.
