Betty Mellott is back in the long-term-care unit of Fulton County Medical Center after hip surgery in Chambersburg Hospital following a fall.

Pastor Richard Kendall of the Rock Hill Church recently had back surgery in Harrisburg Hospital and is now home recuperating.

Tom Shearer severed an artery in his arm last week while working on a job. He took a few days to recuperate at Ocean City, Md., with family members George and Nancy Shearer and Marvin and Dana Winters, Colby Winters and Jeff, Julie, Zoe and Larkin Shearer and friend Ashton Doyle.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Bob Earley, who passed away last week, and the family of Rick Wilson after a long battle with cancer.

Aaron Hahn is now home recuperating and is taking rehabilitation at Fulton County Medical Center.

Pete Rasp underwent lung surgery on Tuesday in Harrisburg at Pinnacle Health.

Sympathy to the Jim Schall family on the death of his father at 100 years of age last week.

Sharon Glazier, along with her grandchildren, Conrad and Caitlin Glazier, visited recently with her daughter, Tricia, and family of Massachusetts. Her son, Curtis, and wife Lori also visited for a weekend. Sharon’s nephew, Lt. Col. Sean Moriarty, and wife Shanna and children of Kansas City, Kan., visited with Sharon and family last Tuesday.

Curtis and Donna Brant of Harrisonville spent a week touring the states of Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. They attended two rodeos, visited Mt. Rushmore, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Black Hills and went river floating. They also stopped at the Christian broadcast center, “Focus On The Family Center.” They will be observing their 31st wedding anniversary on August 18.

Congratulations to the Fulton County American Little League boys baseball 11-12-year-old team on winning their tournament in Mercersburg this past weekend.

Wanda Souders and Deb Welsh recently returned from a tour of the southern states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. While on their tour they ate at the Rendezvous and Lambert’s, which have been featured on the Food channel.
