Area Man Flown To Johnstown Hospital Following Crash
A McConnellsburg man was flown to Johnstown for treatment of injuries sustained during a one-vehicle crash along Heritage Drive on Monday, July 4.
According to state police, 54-year-old Angel Luis Lopez-Nunez was rounding a left-hand curve in the Todd Township roadway at 11:45 p.m. when he lost control of his red Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle went onto the berm where it struck a telephone pole.
Investigating officers reported Nunez left the crash scene without informing authorities and instead went to Fulton County Medical Center. He was then flown to Johnstown for additional treatment.
Nunez will be charged with driving under the influence, failure to immediately notify police of an accident and several traffic-related offenses.
