’90 Needmore Junior Fire Co. members took first place for their “house on fire” float at the Hustontown Area Fire Co.’s annual parade held last

Thursday night. The fire company had good crowds for their annual event with the largest attendances on Thursday night for the parade and on Saturday night when Kitty Wells performed.

Gena Keebaugh of Hustontown was crowned the 1990 Miss HAFCO Princess during the Hustontown Area Fire Co.’s carnival held last week.

Eddy’s Engraving held ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Monday for the opening of their new store located in the Penn’s Village Shopping Center. Owners Inez and Winn Eddy began their engraving business in 1982 working from their home in Needmore.

Sixteen-year-old Mike Banzhoff, son of last year’s trophy winner Emmert Banzhoff, McConnellsburg, was named champion of the Dr. Robert E. Riggs Memorial Open, which was held at Great Cove on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Clugston are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Trenda Marie, on June 20.

George and Alice (Deshong) Mellott of Harrisonville reaffirmed their marriage vows in a private ceremony in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary.
