Olive M. Ramsey Rockhill Furnace, 89

Olive M. Ramsey, 89, Rockhill Furnace, Pa., died at 10:25 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2010, at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where she ahd been residing.

She was born February 27, 1921, in Three Springs, the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma (Mc- Coy) Taylor.

She was united in marriage to Clarence L. “Pap” Ramsey on October 30, 1937. He preceded her in death August 10, 2000.

She is survived by the following children: Jack Ramsey and companion Betty Ramsey, Orbisonia; Allan “Jake” Ramsey and companion Ethelda Stydinger, Rockhill Furnace; Jean Johnson and husband Gary, Shade Gap; five grandchildren: Brenda Varner, James Ramsey, Jackie Lehman, Doreen Johnson and Gary S. Johnson and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Myrtle Wible, Fort Littleton; Dorothy Wilson, Fayetteville; and Helen Barnett, Mc- Connellsburg.

She was peceded in death by a son, Earl Ramsey; brothers and sisters: Charles McCoy, Harold Taylor, Clarence Taylor Jr., Merrill Taylor, Mary Wright, Isabel Dixon, Mabel Snyder and two in infancy: George and Alice Taylor.

She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith.

She liked to read and loved having her grandchildren at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Pastor Gordon Ross will officiate. Burial will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
