Christopher S. Conner McConnellsburg, 39
Christopher Sean Conner, 39, McConnellsburg, died Friday, June 25, 2010, in McConnellsburg.
He was born in McPherson, Kan., November 18, 1970, the son of the late Jerry R. Conner and Carol E. (Shives) Buterbaugh, who survives of Harrisonville. He was the husband of Amy B. (Perry) Conner, whom he married June 11, 1994.
He graduated from Mc- Connellsburg High School in 1989 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in biology education.
He was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, where he served as a trustee, was a pianist and worked with the youth programs at the church. He was an online education teacher at Mc- Connellsburg High School, participated in the musicals at Cito United Methodist Church during the summer, was an avid Duke fan, enjoyed playing golf weekly with his three teammates and loved spending time with his wife and children.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sons: Logan P. and Landon P. Conner, both of Mc- Connellsburg; brother Chad (husband of Elaine) Buterbaugh, Harrisonville; maternal grandmother Naomi Mellott, Harrisonville; niece Sydney Buterbaugh, Harrisonville; and nephew, Caleb Buterbaugh, Harrisonville.
He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Charles “Bud” Buterbaugh; maternal grandfather Guy Shives; and paternal grandparents: Roy and Helen Conner.
Funeral services were held at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29. Pastor Bill Swope officiated. Interment was made in Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore.
Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
