MHS Caps and Gowns Pictures McConnellsburg High School graduation cap and gown pictures are now available at the high school office.

Fair Queen Applications Fulton County Fair Queen applications are available by calling 485-5137 daytime or 485-4915 evenings. Deadline is July 1.

Carwash Fulton County Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a carwash with a craft and bake sale at Great Cove Autos (Thomas’) on Saturday, June 26 at 9:00 a.m.

MHS Tap Dancers Needed The MHS musical this year will be the Broadway musical “42nd Street.” The show requires female tap dancers. This summer is a rare opportunity for girls in grades 7-12 at MHS to learn and experience tap dancing. There will be 10 tap lessons given and they are completely free. These lessons will include the use of tap shoes. Auditions will be held in November. Each girl will be required to perform a short tap routine as part of her audition. The lessons will be taught by two experienced high school students from James Buchanan High School. Lessons will be Tuesday and Thursday in July and August from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium July 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 and August 2, 5, 10 and 12. Also in need of tap shoes. Anyone having shoes to lend or donate please call 717-485-3528.

Clear Ridge Methodist Church Anniversary Clear Ridge United Methodist Church is now making plans to celebrate its 150th year anniversary during the month of October 2010. Anyone who may have information, pictures or stories regarding local history of the church, surrounding community, stores or schools, please call 717-987-3266. It is hoped to develop a narrative history of the church and surrounding community of significant events over the past 150 years. The members are interested in families who have contributed to the community.

Open House Open house will be held at Warfordsburg Senior Center Friday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Free food, fun and entertainment. Danish and coffee 9:00 a.m. to noon; hors d’oeuvres from noon to 6:00 p.m.; social meal with live music from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and demonstrations and special speakers throughout the day. All are welcome. More information may be obtained by calling 294-6020.

Pampered Chef Party Asbury United Methodist women will be hosting a Pampered Chef party at 1:30 p.m., June 26, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 7404 Lincoln Highway, Harrisonville. Please join in for some fun, good food and the opportunity to see new products. All proceeds will be used for missions. Attn. Fair Participants Attention all fair exhibitors: Premium books are no longer being mailed to exhibitors. Please see local businesses to pick up this year’s copy. Remember: Livestock entries must be received by July 15, 2010. Please mail to Fulton County Fair; P.O. Box 246, McConnellsburg, PA 17233. Rabbit check-in will be on Saturday, August 14, at noon. All other entries will be accepted August 15 and August 16 at the fair office. Payment of premiums contingent upon allocation of state fair funds.
