Vera J. Bohlman Hancock, 81
Born March 29, 1929, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Andy H. and Beatrice Engle Schriever, and widow of Virgil John William Bohlman, whom she married January 5, 1957, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and who died December 6, 1982.
She was a member of The Church of Latter-day Saints, Hancock.
She was a homemaker and formerly employed by the G.C. Murphy Co., Hancock, and Ft. Frederick State Park, also as custodian of the LDS Church in Hancock and Washington, D.C. Temple.
She is survived by a brother, Ralpah Schriever, Warfordsburg; and three sisters: Ruth A. Oakman and Dorothy Turner, both of Warfordsburg; and Nancy Hiatt, Brighton, Colo.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Levearl Schriever and a sister, Norma R. Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 17, at 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hancock. Bishop Mike Aloe will officiate. Burial will follow at Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday evening, June 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and at the church one hour prior to services on Thursday.
