Florence K. Sprowl

Everett, 90

Florence K. Sprowl, 90, Everett, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, with family at her side.

She was born November 7, 1919, in Everett, a daughter of the late Solomon B. Burket and Margaret R. (Thompson) Burket.

On April 20, 1940, in Berryville, W.Va., she married Paul T. Sprowl, who passed away March 31, 2001.

She is survived by their daughter, Paulette M. Clark, and husband Jerry, Chambersburg; a niece whom she raised at home, Sheila M. Foor, Everett; two grandchildren: Amber Clark-Henry and husband Eric D. Henry, Chambersburg; Justin Scott, Mechanicsburg; a greatgrandson, Chase D. Henry; special nieces and nephew: Richard Foor, Pam McGraw, Cathy Clark, Cindy Teeters and many other loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Burket; three sisters: Gladys England, Mona Vaughn and Helen Stunkard and three brothers: Raymond, John and William “Clair” Burket.

She was a member of Everett Church of the Brethren and a graduate of Everett High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed listening to and playing piano, working in her flower gardens, crocheting, sewing and watching the natural world of plants and animals surrounding her home. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 7, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Everett. Rev. Frank Ramirez officiated. Burial was made at Everett Cemetery.
