A local resident was awarded a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.

Daniel True of Warfordsburg is a member of the WVU School of Pharmacy Class of 2010.

Dr. True is the son of Mike and Terry Shade and Jay True. While studying at the WVU School of Pharmacy, he served as Puppet Committee co-chair of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), treasurer of the Rho Chi academic pharmacy honor society Alpha Mu chapter, member of the Phi Lambda Sigma national pharmacy leadership society and member of the Kappa Psi co-educational pharmaceutical fraternity. At graduation, he received the James K.J. Lim Academic Achievement Award. True graduated summa cum laude and will be practicing pharmacy in the Public Health Service Bureau of Prisons in Cumberland, Md.
