Banks Wins Silver At State Track Meet


Representing McConnellsburg High School, Lucas Banks took second in discus at the state track meet in Shippensburg on Saturday, May 29. Seeded third going into the meet, Banks was able to pull into second place with a throw of 155 feet, 7 inches. Banks stated, “All the hard work in the previous years have paid off and although I’m very proud of how far we’ve gotten, I’m still not satisfied with the silver. My coaches and I are already talking about next year. I’m going to work hard and aim for the gold.” Pictured with Lucas are his coaches:Jim Babinsack, Todd Grissinger and Josh Strait.
