From The Files Of June 11, 1970 ’70 A family of four, travelling in two cars, was involved in an accident on Saturday morning with a tractor-trailer which resulted in the
deaths of the father and daughter, who were traveling together in one of the cars. The accident occurred on Route 30 at Harrisonville when a tractor-trailer driven by a Youngstown, Ohio, man skidded on the wet highway and collided with a Volkswagen, driven by Paul Edward Greenwalt, 42, of Jeannette, Pa. Coroner McLucas, reported that the driver and his passenger, Karen Lynn Greenwalt, 17, his daughter, died instantly of multiple injuries upon impact with the tractor-trailer rig. Mrs. Greenwalt and her son, James, 19, driver and passenger in the Pontiac, were removed from the scene of the accident. They were treated for minor injuries and shock at the Medical Center and released.
Harold A. Comerer, son of Nelson Comerer of Mc- Connellsburg, is numbered among some 300 college students who are participating in the 25th annual National Student Leadership Institute on World Affairs, which is being held this week. Comerer is a senior student at Shephard College, where he is majoring in political science.
Gary W. Layton of Harrisonville received his Bachelor of Science degree in geography at Frostburg State College on June 2.
Mr. and Mrs. John Glazier of Virginia Beach, Va., announce the birth of a daughter, Patricia Leigh, on May 15.
James Allen Miller of Everett and Theresa June Lester of McConnellsburg applied this week for a marriage license at the local courthouse.
Births at the Medical Center: a son to Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bookheimer of Hustontown on May 30; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Harold McQuade of McConnellsburg on June 2; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Strait of Fort Littleton on June 3; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mc- Mullen of Fort Littleton on June 4.
Miss Nancy Greathead, daughter of Mrs. Audrey Greathead, was graduated on June 8 from Linden Hall School for Girls in Lititz, Pa.

Susan E. Brantner, daughter of Mrs. D.S. Brantner of Mc- Connellsburg and the late Harry Brantner, graduated with highest honors from the Fairfax Hall Preparatory School in Waynesboro, Va. Susan was the valedictorian of the senior class.
