Forbes Road opened up its double header last Thursday night with a 10-run loss at the hands of rivals Fannett Metal. Trent Black opened the game on the mound and totalled one strikeout, three walks and five hits for the loss. Nathan Karczewski finished the Sideling Hill League match with two hits, and teammate Ryan Hann added a double.

So. Fulton 7 Forbes Road 2

Dylan Whiteside rallied for three hits last Thursday night to lead the Southern Fulton Indians to a 7-2 Sideling Hill League victory over Forbes Road. Ryan Harper picked up his third pitching win of the season with four strikeouts, four walks, three hits and two earned runs. Meanwhile, Cardinal pitcher Brandon Blair took the loss after recording two strikeouts, one walk, nine hits and six earned runs.

So. Fulton 7 MHS 4

Southern Fulton surged past the McConnellsburg Spartans in the final inning of last Friday’s game scoring five runs to clinch the Sideling Hill League game 7-4. Derek Younker had his fifth win for the Indians with six strikeouts, three walks, nine hits and four earned runs. Younker went on to drive in two runs as did teammate Zane Baker, while J.C. Munson batted three-for-four. Spartans Nathan Swope, Jesse Swope, Evan Appleby and Darren McQuade all had two hits. Appleby finished out the last two innings on the mound for the loss with five hits and three earned runs.

Everett 14 Forbes Road 4

The Forbes Road Cardinals closed out their season on Saturday losing by 10 runs to the Everett Warriors. Dylan Gelvin posted the team’s only extra-base hit and also drove in runs as did teammates Donovan Bricker, Nathan Karczewski and Ryan Hann. Pitcher Trent Black had three walks, nine hits and six earned runs during the Sideling Hill League loss.

MHS 6 Shade 1

Pitcher Seth Seville gave up four hits last Wednesday and a lone one run during the McConnellsburg Spartan 6-1 win over Shade. Tanner Shoop had a double at the plate, and teammate Jesse Swope added two hits during the non-league match.
