“Pickin” And Praisin’” At Warfordsburg Presbyterian June 5

Church brings back evening of family fun

The Bumbaugh Family The Bumbaugh Family Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church is bringing “Pickin’ and Praisin’” back to the community Saturday, June 5. The evening of gospel music, good food and good family oriented fun gets started at 4 p.m. at the church in Warfordsburg.

Held in 2007 and 2008, “Pickin’ and Praisin’” 2010 features musical guests The Bumbaugh Family and an expanded lineup of activites for both kids and adults.

The Bumbaugh Family will perform at 5:30 p.m. in the lower parking lot of the church’s Faith Center. The Pennsylvania family launch-ed its ministry in 1999 and has traveled the East Coast sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through testimony and great inspirational music. Accompanying the trio are The Bumbaugh Kids. These cousins join the family ministry during each concert to create an exceptional treat for all ages. A freewill offering will be taken during the performance.

A chicken barbecue dinner with baked beans, applesauce and roll, along with steamers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and handdipped ice cream, is on the eveningís menu. A bake sale is also planned and an always-popular cake walk is scheduled.

There will be plenty of activities for kids to choose, including a basketball shoot, mini-golf, ring toss, ladder ball, Plinko and face painting. Kids and and the not-soyoung can also compete throughout the evening for prizes like gift cards, totes filled with food, games, toys and beach items.

A silent auction will feature a lap quilt, comforter, Tupperware, copper teakettle and a half cord of firewood among other items.

Admission to “Pickin’ and Praisin’” is free. Please bring a lawn chair for the Bumbaughs’ performance.
