The weekend was nice until the rain moved in, but sounds as if warm temperatures

are about to appear later this week.

Sorry to hear Nellie Shotts had the misfortune of breaking a hip. We send speedy recovery wishes her way.

Harriet Hill of Manheim spent the weekend in the Kate Berkstresser home.

Joan Kuhn was speaker at Sunday worship in absence of Pastor Bill, who is attending an Indian reservation. She brought a good message.

We hear a nice crowd attended the sale at Ruth Byers on Saturday. Items for sale were mostly Paul’s tools, etc.

Sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Ivan “Chubb” Hess, who passed away Tuesday evening at Fulton County Medical Center.

We were sorry more people didn’t turn out to cast their vote last Tuesday. It is important to go out and vote That way you are helping to put the person of your choice in office. Hope everyone will take elections more seriously in the fall.

Another school year is coming to a close and then the graduates have to choose their future. Hope they choose to further their education, as it will make a big difference in work or whatever.

Sorry to hear Earl Mc- Daid is not improving, so we hope he can make an improvement soon.

Household comment: Everyone’s work is a portrait of themself. Three essentials: A faith to live by, a self to live with and a purpose in life to live for and make life worthwhile by putting your trust and faith in the Master.
