Camp Cadet Program Set For June 6-11
Fulton County Camp Cadet Association’s 16th annual Camp Cadet class members will report to Camp Sinoquipe, located near Fort Littleton, on Sunday, June 6.
Thirty-eight cadets, 21 males and 17 females, between the ages of 12-15 have been selected from the county’s three school districts and will report for the weeklong camping session sponsored jointly by the Pennsylvania State Police at the McConnellsburg station and by the county’s social services agencies and schools. Four senior cadets from previous graduating classes will also be chosen as mentors for the incoming cadets.
This year’s activities will culminate on Friday, June 11, with a lakeside graduation ceremony to be held at 6:00 p.m. This year’s graduation address will be delivered by the Honorable Judge Angela Krom of the Court of Common Pleas of the 39th Judicial District, which includes both Fulton and Franklin counties.
A Franklin County native, Judge Krom is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and Dickinson School of Law. She served as assistant district attorney for Franklin County for 12 years prior to being elected to the bench.
The public is invited to attend Friday evening’s graduation ceremonies.
