The Fulton County Area Vocational Technical School Drafting and Design students hosted their eighth Annual Car Show on April 24, 2010. The show took place in the McConnellsburg High School parking lot. The entries consisted of muscle cars, modified street rides and classic cars. Three dealerships, Douglas Motors, Keystone Ford and Keystone RV, were in attendance to display new products and support the drafting and design program.

The Best of Show winner was Ted Knable, with a 1973 Plymouth Roadrunner. Knable is from Greencastle. The Director’s Choice award was presented to Danny Gordon, with a 1948 Dodge Club Coupe. The coupe was originally bought and passed on through the generations of the Gordon family, located in Needmore. All entries had the opportunity to vote on their favorite Top 15 and all Top 15 entries received trophies.

Students and parents donated baked goods to the drafting and design program to help with raising money for the biannual field trip to the International Auto Show, held in Manhattan, N.Y. Lorraine Cunningham managed the bake sale for the program. Melinda Peck provided food and refreshments and Tommy DeShong provided musical entertainment. Eddy’s Engraving provided the trophies and dash plaques and Chestnut’s Septic Service provided restroom facilities during the show. Todd Wolford is the instructor of the drafting and design program.
