McConnellsburg pushed three runners across homeplate on Monday to inch out St. Maria Goretti by the narrow score of 9-8. Lisa DeShong batted four-for-five with a double and two RBIs, while teammates Casey Pollock and Nikki McQuade both added three hits. Mc- Quade also added two RBIs, and Alexus Mellott went two-for-four with two RBIs. Mellott also picked up her second win of the spring season with five strikeouts, 10 walks, seven hits and five earned runs.

Southern Fulton 13

Hancock 1

Southern Fulton easily handled the Hancock Panthers Monday night, clinching the opening game of the double header by the score of 13-1. Kelsey White took her fourth win of the season with a total of 12 strikeouts, two walks and two hits. Erin Deneen pushed in two runs, and Kayla Wertz ended the nonleague match batting twofor three with two runs scored.

Hancock 3

Pitcher Kelsey White struck out nine batters in the final game of a double header Monday night, leading the Southern Fulton Lady Indians on to a 11-3 victory over Hancock. White also added one walk, eight hits and two earned runs. At the plate she batted two-for-three and knocked in three RBIs.

The Hyndman Hornets managed to score runs in all but two innings of last Thursdayís game and went on for a 10-1 victory over Southern Fulton. Taylor Leasure went two-for-four for the Lady Indians, and Erin Deneen had an RBI. Pitcher Kelsey White totalled eight strikeouts, four walks, 11 hits and seven earned runs during the Sideling Hill League match.

Northern Bedford 13

McConnellsburg 4

Northern Bedford posted some impressive numbers in the third and sixth inning last Thursday to roll on to a 13-4 Sideling Hill League win over McConnellsburg. Pitcher Alexus Mellott lasted six innings with four strikeouts, six walks, 10 hits and eight earned runs. Casey Pollock and Sam McQuade both connected for two hits, and Mellott rounded out the game with two RBIs.

Tussey Mountain 10

Forbes Road 1

Tussey Mountain racked up a total of six runs in the opening inning of last Thursday evening’s match and cruised to a 10-1 Sideling Hill League victory over the winless Forbes Road Cardinals. Sammie Clippinger and teammates Corri Parsons and Raven Whitman all had hits for Forbes Road. Clippinger took the loss with one strikeout, eight walks, seven hits and six earned runs.

Tussey Mountain 9

McConnellsburg 3 The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans scored a run in the seventh inning to force last Wednesday’s game against the Tussey Mountain Titans into extra innings. The Sideling Hill League game ended in a 9-3 loss with pitcher Alexus Mellott rallying for seven strikeouts, one walk, 11 hits and six earned runs. Lisa DeShong batted three-for-five with a double and two RBIs, while teammate Nikki Mellott added four hits, which included a triple.

Berkeley Springs 8

Southern Fulton 0

Southern Fulton pitcher Kelsey White racked up a whopping 12 strikeouts but also tossed in six walks during the Indians 8-0 loss to Berkeley Springs last Tuesday. White finished the nonleague game with four earned runs, while teammates Ashley Sigel, Taylor Leasure and Taelor Morton all had base hits at the plate.
