Seth Hall lasted six innings on the mound for the Southern Fulton Indians, who fell short Monday night during a two-run loss to Hancock. Hall struck out one batter and gave up two walks, 11 hits and seven earned runs while connecting at the plate for three hits. Derek Younker finished with two RBIs.

Hancock prevailed in game two of Monday night’s double-header against Southern Fulton when the non-league match ended after five innings due to darkness. Zach Morton wrapped up the fourth inning on the mound for the Indians and took the loss with one strikeout, two walks, one hit and two earned runs. Morton also had a big day at the plate with five hits and four runs during both games.

Southern Fulton ended its five-game losing streak last Thursday evening with a decisive 10-run victory over the Hyndman Hornets. Seth Hall had a perfect night at the plate batting four-for-four with three runs and two RBIs, while teammates J.C. Munson and Levi Mellott each added two hits. Derek Younker picked up his fourth win of the season after accumulating four strikeouts, two walks and a lone hit during the first four innings of the Sideling Hill League match.

McConnellsburg fell behind early on last Thursday and was never able to stage a comeback against Northern Bedford, who clinched the Sideling Hill League match 5-2. Pitcher Tanner Shoop rallied for two strikeouts, four walks, seven hits and three earned runs during the loss. Evan Appleby contributed two RBIs, and Nathan Swope had the team’s only extra-base hit, a double.

Northern Bedford managed five runs in the sixth inning Friday night to down the Forbes Road Cardinals by the final score of 12-7. Teammates Dylan Gelvin and Trent Black each tallied two hits, and Nathan Karczewski drove in two RBIs. Brandon Blair took the loss with six strikeouts, 14 hits and 10 earned runs.

Tussey Mountain tallied nine runs in the first three innings last Wednesday evening cruising to a 13-2 Sideling Hill League win over McConnellsburg. Tanner Shoop and teammate Nathan Swope each connected for solo home runs. Meanwhile, Swope took the loss with one strikeout, three walks, eight hits and eight earned runs in slightly more than two innings on the mound.

Chestnut Ridge 5

McConnellsburg posed a total of 12 hits last Tuesday aiding them in a 12-5 ousting of Chestnut Ridge. During the team’s seventh win of the season, Nathan Swope batted four-for-five, and Evan Appleby added a double, home run and three RBIs. Seth Seville picked up the win after recording two strikeouts, one walk, seven hits and five earned runs during the first four innings of the Sideling Hill League match.
