Police Release Crime, Patrol Report

State police at the Mc- Connellsburg substation recently released a report detailing criminal and patrol activity that occurred during the month of April in Fulton County. A total of 80 criminal offenses were reported to the crime unit, and 74 of those offenses were founded. Thirty-one arrests were made in conjunction with those incidents.

In addition, troopers responded to 25 collisions and three hit-and-run accidents. Seven individuals were injured in those crashes. Police also issued 10 driving-underthe influence citations, 615 traffic citations and 504 written warnings.

Cellphone Stolen

A Safe Link cellphone valued at $70 was stolen from in front of the “B” building at the Cardinal Glen Apartments in Ayr Township at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 30. The victim in the theft is a 24-year-old Mc- Connellsburg woman. Two Injured In Crash

Two female drivers suffered injuries when their vehicles collided along Route 522 at the intersection of Pleasant Grove Road on Thursday, May 6. State police reported a northbound 1999 Dodge Caravan operated by 64-year-old Marion Gail Ellison of McConnellsburg turned into the path of an oncoming 1998 Dodge Neon driven by Jennifer Leann Knepper, 24, Hustontown.

Ellison was transported to Fulton County Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Knepper was not taken to the hospital following the 10:04 a.m. crash. Damage to both vehicles was listed as major.

Drug Charges Pending

Charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia are currently pending the receipt of lab results, according to state police. The charges against Patricia Ann Scaramozzino, 37, of Stafford, Va., stem from a May 4 vehicle stop along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Brush Creek Township. During the 5:09 p.m. stop, a vehicle search was performed, resulting in troopers allegedly locating prescription pills and a straw with white residue.

Items Stolen

Money and jewelry were stolen from 8245 Big Cove Tannery Road in Ayr Township between March 1 and May 9. Victims of the breakin were a 52-year-old Big Cove Tannery man and a 42- year-old woman from Mc- Connellsburg. Anyone having additional information regarding this case of burglary should contact Trooper Sprague at 717-485-3131.

Police Search For Missing Teen

State police from the Mc- Connellsburg barracks are currently searching for the whereabouts of 17-year-old Jonathan Michael Halverson of McConnellsburg, who is believed to have run away from home following an argument with his brother on Saturday, May 8.

State police noted Halverson was last seen wearing black, baggy jeans and a black T-shirt with a dragon design. He is a 6-foot Caucasian male, weighing an estimated 130 pounds, with blue eyes and shoulderlength blonde hair. He may possibly be travelling to Rome, New York.

Anyone having additional information pertaining to Halverson’s whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the state police barracks by calling 717-485-3131.  Juvenile Accused Of Theft

A 13-year-old Warfordsburg area boy is accused of theft in connection with an incident at Southern Fulton High School on April 19 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The juvenile allegedly stole an Ipod MP3 player from the purse of a 16-year-old girl from Crystal Spring. The boy will be charged through the Fulton County Juvenile Probation Department. Solar Panels Stolen

Two solar panels located next to a pond were stolen from 6481 Buck Valley Road, Warfordsburg, between 10 a.m. on May 8 and 6 p.m. on May 9. The panels were utilized to produce energy and pump water to various watering areas throughout the pastures owned by the Sinclair Cattle Co.
