’80 A tentative budget for 1980-81 adopted by the Forbes Road School Board Monday night will raise real estate taxes in the district to 36 mills

if it’s approved in June without major changes.

County commissioners are waiting to see if costs can be reduced at the Medical Center before raising county taxes. But even if commissioners can lessen the bite the hospital takes out of the county budget, taxes will probably still have to go up.

A sweet 16 party for Mindy Stackhouse was held on Friday night at Great Cove Golf Club. Steve Hoover provided music for dancing for a host of her friends helping her celebrate her birthday.
