Upcoming programs

May 13 – Senior Series: Signs of the Season. Come enjoy a showcase of nature! We’ll begin with a slideshow presentation featuring some of the natural happenings taking place right now. Then we’ll head outdoors for a gentle stroll to try and spot some of these important and beautiful signs of the season. Meet at the Brightbill Interpretive Center at 10:00 a.m. to join in. This program is being presented especially for seniors, but all ages are welcome.

May 15: Birding by Ear. Did you ever wish you could know the identity of a bird, just by hearing its song? Or maybe, you’d like to be able to recognize individual songs within a bird chorus. If so, then come and learn about birding by ear. Discover tricks to recognizing some common bird songs, and practice your new skills on a gentle walk. This program begins at the Brightbill Interpretive Center at 8:30 a.m.

Photo Scavenger Hunt. Have some fun with this environmentally friendly scavenger hunt! First, pick up a page of clues at the Brightbill Interpretive Center. Then use these clues to find the objects, but rather than gather the objects, simply snap a digital photo of each thing on the list. Once you’ve found them all, return to the center and receive a prize! Some cameras may be available to borrow, or bring your own. The hunt begins at 11:00 a.m.
