Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Iota Lambda Chapter, held its annual Sweetheart Ball in February to benefit Home Nursing Agency’s Foundation. The event raised $6,500 and was held at the McConnellsburg American Legion .

Each year, the sorority supports a local organization by donating proceeds raised from the event’s proceeds. According to Beta Sigma Phi President Iris Hendershot, the sorority rallied around Home Nursing Agency Hospice this year because of the compassionate and specialized hospice care that Home Nursing Agency Hospice provides to the families of Fulton and nearby counties.

By incorporating Home Nursing Agency with the event, Hendershot wanted to raise the awareness in the community about Home Nursing Agency. “We respect the care they provide and are also hoping to generate awareness of the hospice philosophy,” she said. Hendershot said the ball was well attended with nearly 200 attendees.

The Home Nursing Agency Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization established to support programs and services of the Home Nursing Agency.
