McConnellsburg swept both West Branch and Tussey Mountain last Thursday during an Inter-County Conference meet at Saxton. The 400-meter relay team of Corey Hill, Paul Hock, Cody McCulloch and Tony White picked up a victory, as did the 1600 relay team of Hock, Colby Sowers, Hunter Miller and Ryan Defibaugh. White and Sowers picked up individual wins in the 100 and 400 meter, while Defibaugh was victorious in the triple jump. Lucas Banks and Nick Whitsel finished in first place in the discus and pole vault.

Southern Fulton picked up an easy win over Mount Union last Thursday but weren’t as lucky against Bellwood Antis during the Inter- County Conference meet. Tim Rohm continued his successful season for the Indians with the team’s only first-place finish in the 300 hurdles.

Southern Fulton downed McConnellsburg Tuesday night during a home meet and picked up a first-place finish during a quad meet with Meyersdale, Shade and Hancock. Jacob Ashkettle was the big winner for the Indians, grabbing a total of four first-place wins in the 200 meter, high jump, long jump and triple jump. Dylan Whiteside and Tim Rohm were victorious in the 100 meter and 300 hurdles, and teammates J.C. Munson and Briar Kirk picked up wins in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter. Both the 3200 and 1600 relay clinched first-place, while Lucas Banks, representing the McConnellsburg Spartans, picked up a pair of wins in the shot put and discus.
