FCCCS Classes Raise Money For Haiti


Pictured above are the Fulton County Community Christian School’s fourth- and fifth- grade classes displaying the traveling Giving Cup for having raised the most money to send to Haiti to help with disaster relief following the recent earthquake. Mrs. Dean’s class placed first with $1086.98. Mr. Gordon’s second- and third-grade class placed second with $975.20 and was also the winner of the Penny Wars with a final total of $75.69 after all silver coins and bills were deducted. The pre-K class placed third in both the Penny Wars and in total giving. The fourth- and fifth-grade classroom has proudly reclaimed the Giving Cup for the first time since 2005. They will keep possession of the trophy until the 2011 missions competition, when it will once again be up for grabs. A final total of $3,194.56 was raised for Haiti by all FCCCS classes through the Penny Wars and various individual class projects.
