Campaign Donations Pour In For Pa. US Senate Race
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Campaign finance reports show millions of dollars in donations filling the coffers of the candidates seeking to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.
Incumbent Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter reported Thursday he raised nearly $1.2 million during the first three months of the year and began April with more than $9 million in the bank.
Republican candidate Pat Toomey collected more than $2.3 million over that same period and ended it with more than $4 million in cash.
Reports weren’t immediately available for Republican candidate Peg Luksik or Democratic challenger Joe Sestak.
