Football/Cheerleading Registration Youth football and cheerleading registration for Fulton County Cowboys for ages 5-12 will be held Sunday, April 25, May 16, June 27 and July 18, at the American Legion in McConnellsburg from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling Hollie at 717-658-3563 or Damon at 301- 573-1139.

Free Youth Shoots Free youth shoots for .22 rifle and shotgun will be held at Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. every Friday night in May. Open to youths 16 and younger. Rifles and shells will be furnished. Winners nightly and kitchen open. Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Dance A dance will be held Friday, May 21, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Hancock Community Center, West High Street, Hancock. Donations are free and benefit the Hancock Arts Council. More information may be obtained by calling 301-678-5084.

Car Show The Fulton County Area Vo-Tech Drafting and Design Department will be having its annual car show at the McConnellsburg High School parking lot on April 24, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration is from 8-11 a.m. Raindate will be May 1, 2010.

Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage Saturday, April 24, at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. Also a chicken barbecue will be held.

Yard Sale A yard sale will be held May 1 at 8:00 a.m. at McConnellsburg United Methodist Church parking lot. Donations only sale. Pick and pay what you would like. Proceeds go to Hait.

Bus Trip Modern Woodmen of America Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, May 8. The bus departs from the McConnellsburg Courthouse at 6:00 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast at approximately 8:30 a.m. and arrive in New York City near Macy’s at approximately 11:30 a.m. A stop will be made also halfway home for supper. Estimate arrival back in McConnellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation and the breakfast buffet is $45 for adults and $40 for kids under 12. Trap Shooting Trap shooting will be held at Fulton County Pistol & Rifle Club, with practice every Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Also the third Sunday of each month starting at noon with 10 target warmup and 100 target shoot follows. These shoots are open to the public. All are welcome.
