Southern Fulton 1

Southern Fulton and Hyndman were equally matched at four hits Monday night, but the Lady Indians couldn’t get their runners across the plate during the narrow 3-1 Sideling Hill League loss. Bailey Elbin contributed two of the Indians’ four hits. Pitcher Kelsey White tallied seven strikeouts along with three walks, four hits and only one earned run.

NBC 15 McConnellsburg 2

Northern Bedford jumped out to an eight-run lead and cruised to a 15-2 trouncing of the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans Monday evening. Sam McQuade racked up a triple and an RBI for McConnellsburg. Alexus Mellott finished five innings for the Spartans pitching staff and totalled one strikeout, three walks, 13 hits and nine earned runs.

Tussey Mountain 12

Forbes Road 0

Pitchers Cecely Martz and Corri Parsons combined for five innings on Monday for the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals, who were crushed by the Tussey Mountain Titans by a total of 12 unanswered runs. Martz completed the first two innings and was handed the loss with one strikeout, five walks, four hits and two earned runs.

Hyndman 15

McConnellsburg 5

Hyndman scored a total of 11 runs during the final three innings of last Thursday’s game to down the Mc- Connellsburg Spartans 15-5. Alexus Mellott went two-forthree with a double and two RBIs, and Nikki McQuade also had a pair of hits. Sam Mc- Quade added a triple. Mellott was the losing pitcher with four strikeouts, eight walks, 11 hits and 12 earned runs.

McConnellsburg 13

Forbes Road 2

McConnellsburg managed to pull away in the final three innings of last Tuesday’s match after knocking in 10 runs against the Forbes Road Cardinals. Alexus Mellott batted two-for-five with three RBIs for the Lady Spartans, and Lisa DeShong added a pair of hits, three runs and an RBI. Nikki Mc- Quade also had a pair of hits and an RBI. Mellott was also the winning pitcher with four strikeouts, one walk and four hits. Corri Parsons finished with a hit and an RBI for Forbes Road. Pitcher Cecely Martz took her third consecutive loss of the season with four strikeouts, seven walks, 10 hits and eight earned runs.

Everett 7 Southern Fulton 3

Everett scored three runs in the final inning last Tuesday night and edged out the Southern Fulton Indians by the final score of 7-3. Taylor Leasure finished out the Sideling Hill League match batting three-for-three for the Indians with a pair of RBIs. Teammate Erin Deneen contributed two hits and knocked in one run.
