McConnellsburg cruised to a win over Fannett-Metal last Thursday but fell only three points shy against Mount Union during the Inter County Conference meet. Santana Ramsey picked up a pair of wins, taking top honors in the 200 meter and pole vault, and teammates Nikki Fleming and Dakota Deneen were victorious in the 300 hurdles and long jump, respectively. Jessica Nero wrapped up the meet with a win in the triple jump.

Lady Spartans Conchita Bartolon and A’leese Dickerson both captured a firstplace finish last Tuesday during the Inter-County Conference involving McConnellsburg and Windber. Bartolon posted a time of 6:14.6 to win the 1600 meter, and Dickerson’s throw of 28-3.50 earned her top honors in the shot put.

Southern Fulton 102

Juniata Valley 47

Southern Fulton easily downed Juniata Valley last Tuesday during the Inter- County Conference meet in Everett, clinching the meet 102-47 with several Indians taking multiple first-place victories. Kelsie Truax took the 100 and 300 hurdles, and Amy Bard was victorious in the 400 and 800 meter. Teammate Jenna Hollenshead won the 1600 meter and long jump, and Crystal Appel recorded first-place finishes in the shot put and discus. Lacey Beatty also picked up a pair of individual victories in the 3200 and high jump, and Chelsie Eader and Jenna Palmer took the javelin and pole vault respectively. The 3200, 400 and 1600 meter relay team also finished up the day with top honors.
