McConnellsburg easily picked up a pair of wins last Thursday, downing both Fannett-Metal and Mount Union during an Inter-County Conference meet. Ryan Defibaugh led the Spartans with a trio of victories in the 100 meter, 200 meter and long jump, while Lucas Banks took both the shot put and discus. Cody McCulloch also had a pair of wins, thereby taking both the 110 and 300 hurdles Hunter Miller and Dillon Hollenshead recorded first-place wins in the 400 meter and 3200 mete, respectively, and teammates Shaheed Jefferson and Paul Hock, respectively, won the triple jump and pole vault.

McConnellsburg 31 NBC 115.5, McConnellsburg 45.5

McConnellsburg fell by a sizeable margin to both Windber and Northern Bedford last Tuesday during the Inter-County Conference meet held in Loysburg. Spartan Lucas Banks was the lone member of his team to garner a first-place finish. Banks finished out the meet with a pair of wins in the shot put and javelin.

Juniata Valley 65

Jacob Ashkettle is proving to be Southern Fultonís team leader early on this season. Ashkettle finished last Tuesdayís Inter-County Conference meet against Juniata Valley with a total of four wins in the high, long and triple jumps and the 200 meter. Nathan Keebaugh picked up a pair of wins in the shot put and discus, while Briar Kirk was victorious in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter and ran a leg for the winning 3200 relay team comprised of Josh Voigt, Brian Stanley and Nicki Strait. Stanley and Strait along with Jeb Williams and Rohm were also members of the 1600 relay team, which took first place.
