McConnellsburg 14 NBC 6

McConnellsburg had seven base runners cross the plate in the second inning and an additional six in the sixth inning to down Northern Bedford 14-6 Monday evening. Nathan Swope picked up his second win of the season during the Sideling Hill League match with five strikeouts, eight hits and two earned runs. Swope also proved to be a force at the plate, batting three-for-four. Tanner Shoop and Drew Wink also had three hits apiece, and Shoop added three RBIs. Evan Appleby rounded out the game going two-for-four with two doubles and four RBIs.

Tussey 18 Forbes Road 10

Forbes Road pumped in four runs in the final two innings of Monday evening’s Sideling Hill League game, but their late game efforts weren’t enough to overcome the Tussey Mountain Titans. During the eight-run loss, Kolby Buterbaugh and Dillen Burger both had three hits. Teammates Andrew King, Trent Black and Nathan Karczewski all knocked in two runs. Pitcher Trent Black took his first loss during two innings on the mound with one strikeout, five hits and three earned runs.

Hyndman 21 So. Fulton 15

Southern Fulton committed a total of 12 errors on its way to a disappointing 21- 15 loss to the Hyndman Hornets Monday night. J.C. Munson and Zach Morton both had two hits and two RBIs, while teammate Ryan Harper went three-for-five. Pitcher Seth Hall lasted slightly more than one inning on the mound and racked up one strikeout, three walks and one earned run.

McConnellsburg’s Tanner Shoop held on for the shutout Thursday night, leading the Spartans to a 6- 2 Sideling Hill League win over the Hyndman Hornets. Shoop struck out four batters and gave up two walks and four hits. Nathan Swope and Levi Crouse connected for a double, while teammate Evan Appleby added a pair of doubles. Drew Wink rounded out the game with a triple.

Forbes Road pitcher Trent Black lasted seven innings last Tuesday against the McCon-nellsburg Spartans and led the Cardinals to a 10-4 Sideling Hill League victory. Black tallied eight strikeouts, four walks, seven hits and four earned runs, while Spartan pitcher Seth Seville took the loss with five strikeouts, three walks, eight hits and six earned runs. Kolby Buterbaugh went three-for-four at the plate for Forbes Road and added four RBIs, and teammate Donovan Bricker totalled three hits and three runs. For Mc- Connellsburg Nathan Swope posted a double and triple, and Evan Appleby had a double. Tanner Shoop knocked in two runs.

Southern Fulton 2 Everett 0

Derek Younker led both the offensive and defensive effort for Southern Fulton last Tuesday during a 2-0 win over the Everett Warriors. Younker posted a whopping 11 strikeouts and only gave up one hit during the Sideling Hill League outing. Younker also connected for his second homer of the season, which was the team’s only extra-base hit of the evening.
