Ag Students Hold Butchering Demo

On Monday March 8, McConnellsburg agriculture students held a pig butchering demonstration. With the assistance of Justin and Buck Younker, the students learned the proper way to butcher and process hogs. Many of the students had first-time, hands-on experience on how to make sausage, pork chops, roasts and puddings. Prior to Monday, a few students on Saturday went to the Seiders farm and learned how to properly kill, handle and skin a hog. “Hog butchering was fun and educational, I learned many new useful skills,” says Jonah Fagley.
