Job Fair Fulton County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is hosting a job fair at the Fulton Theatre, Mc- Connellsburg, April 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling 717-485-4064.

AARP Driver Safety Program The classroom refresher course for the AARP Driver Safety Program will be offered at McConnellsburg Senior Center, 100 Woodside Drive, McConnellsburg, on May 6 and 7. There will be two days of classes, 9:30 a.m. to noon each day. Advanced registration is required. Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. Make check payable to AARP. Sign up in person, by phone at 485-5613 or by mail. Graduates of the class age 55 and over will be eligible for three-year auto insurance discounts. If there is more than one person over 55 on your insurance policy, all must complete the class to be eligible for the discount. If planning on staying for dinner at the center following the class, please call the day before.

Carwash A carwash will be held April 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Great Cove Autos. Sponsored by Mt. Zion Lodge 774 to benefit charitable fundraising efforts.

Litter & Trash Cleanup A litter and trash cleanup day, sponsored by Friends of the Little Aughwick Creek, will be held April 24 at 9:00 a.m. Meet at two locations to pick up around the Burnt Cabins and Fort Littleton area. Meeting at the parking lot across from Park Texaco in Fort Littleton at 9:00 a.m. Lunch and drinks provided by Park Gas Station. Meeting at the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill at 8:30 a.m. Hot dogs, snacks and drinks provided by Burnt Cabins Grist Mill. All volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves and long pants.

Free Computer Classes Free computer classes at the Fulton County Library on Wednesday, April 28. Call the library at 485-5327 for more information or to register.

Open House Fulton County Community Christian School will be holding an open house Friday May 7, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. FCCCS has classes for pre-K through 12th grade. Parents and members of the community are invited to come and check out what’s new and exciting at FCCCS. The school is located at 8159 Great Cove Road, Needmore. Rain Barrel/Garden Workshop Harvest Rain Water. Due to popular demand, a second rain barrel/rain garden workshop will be offered. Join in April 24 from 9 a.m. to noon for a hands-on rain barrel workshop at the 4-H building at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. Learn how to make your own rain barrel and harvest water for your garden. The first 12 people to register and pay the $10 materials fee will be able to take a barrel home. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn for free (but no barrel will be provided). Please call the Fulton County Conservation District 717-485-3547, ext. 116 to register.

Musical Auditions Summer musical auditions will be held April 19, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McConnellsburg UMC, and April 20 from 6 p.m. to -7:30 p.m. at Cito UMC. We are doing “Children of Eden.” All ages are welcome. Please come with a song of choice to perform. A dance ensemble is needed in addition to choral company.
