Jenna Hollenshead and Amy Bard both racked up a pair of victories on Thursday during the Southern Fulton Indians win over West Branch and loss to the Everett Warriors. During the non-league meet, Hollenshead won the 1600 meter and long jump, while Bard captured first in the 400 and 800 meter. Kelsey Truax and Cierra Covalt won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, respectively, and Caitie Mellott finished up the day with a victory in the 200 meter. Courtney Strait took a firstplace win in the javelin, and the 1600 relay team of Covalt, Hollenshead, Truax and Bard were also victorious.

Camp Hill easily picked up top honors during last Thursday’s tri-meet, but it was McConnellsburg that inched out competitors from Fairfield for a second-place overall finish. Libby Strayer had the Lady Spartans lone first-place finish, taking the 400 meter with a time of 1:08.2, while AĆ­leese Dickerson and Conchita Bartolon placed in all of their respective events.

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans 400-meter relay team took first-place last Tuesday, while four additional wins were racked up in individual events during a 89- 60 loss to Mercersburg Academy. Dakota Deneen was first in the long jump, while the triple jump and shot put, respectively, went to Jessica Nero and A’leese Dickerson. Kylie Zittle rounded out the non-league meet with a victory in the javelin.

Caitie Mellott and Jenna Hollenshead both garnered two first-place wins in individual events during a quadmeet held last Tuesday. Mellott won the 100 and 200 meter, and Hollenshead claimed the 1600 and 800 meter. Amy Bard clinched the 400 meter, and Lacey Beatty and Crystal Appel were victorious in the 3200 meter and shot put, respectively. The 400 relay team comprised of Courtney Strait, Laura Hawkins, Crouse and Mellott took top honors, as did the 1600 relay team of Beatty, Kayla Chilcote, Cierra Covalt and Hollenshead.
