Richard E. Price Sr.
Richard E. Price Sr., 76, Shade Gap, died at 11:37 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at his home.
Born May 2, 1933, in Dublin Township, he was a son of the late Joseph K. and Ruth P. (Bard) Price. He married the former Donna L. Moore. She survives at their home.
He is also survived by his four children: Patricia Grissinger and husband James, Mapleton; Richard E. Price and wife Beth, Burnt Cabins; Todd D. Price and wife Michele, Shade Gap; and Brian L. Price and wife julie, Three Springs; 10 grandchildren: Ryan and Richelle Grissinger, Kyle and Rebecca Price, Sarah McGahan, Caleband Autumn Price, Talisha Powell, Nicholas and Tiffany Price; and 10 great-grandchildren: Brody, Trinity, Jesse, Razi, Rowdy, Codie, Karmyn, Haiden, Douglas and Kaylee; six siblings: Marlene Bowman, Flinton; Sandra Hughes, Three Springs; Jane Rinker, Orbisonia; and Susan Willis, Glenda Price and Randy Price, all of Shade Gap.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: William and Gary Price, Josie Miller and Vicky Price.
He last attended Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap.
He was a member of Shade Gap Lions Club, Shade Gap Area Volunteer Fire Co., Shade Gap Sportsman’s Association and Mountain View Lodge Hunting Camp.
He retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime co. and was previously employed with Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg.
He enjoyed hunting, playing baseball, fishing, family gatherings, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, was in charge of arrangements.
